Professor Vladimir Lukin, head of the Lab of Coherent and Adaptive Optics, was awarded the D.S. Rozhdestvensky Medal for long-term and fruitful scientific and technical work in the field of holographic technologies.

This medal was established by the D.S. Rozhdestvensky Optical Society in 1991 in honor of the outstanding Russian optics scientist, Academician Dmitry Sergeevich Rozhdestvensky (1876–1940). The D.S. Rozhdestvensky Medal is awarded to individual members of the Optical Society once every two years for outstanding achievements in the field of fundamental research in optics,  implementation of the results in the practice of developing and studying new optical materials, as well as for significant contributions to the activities of the Optical Society.
